Perissa to Santorini Airport by private taxi
A taxi from Perissa to the airport costs from €35 for the whole car, day or night, and the same booking covers Perivolos. The drive is 14 km and about 20 minutes, so an early flight needs the pickup set well before dawn.

What to expect
Perissa sits at the far end of the island from the airport, so a departure from here needs more planning than one from the caldera towns. The road runs back inland, up past Emporio and across the middle of the island, before it drops towards the runway.
That distance matters most for an early flight. The resort's own bus service stops long before the first departures of the day, so a private car is the only realistic way to make a dawn check-in, and the pickup itself needs to be set well before first light.
Perivolos, the southern half of the same beach, books under this page too. Give the hotel name when you book, since the two ends of the beach are a short drive apart, and the driver needs to know which one to head for first.
Beach holidays tend to end with more luggage than they started with. Two people with the usual cases fit the saloon, while a family or a group of five or more, especially with boards or beach gear, should book the van instead.
Where the driver meets you in Perissa

- 1
Perissa is flat and built along one long beach road, so the car reaches the door of almost every hotel. Give the hotel name and the driver comes to the lobby.
- 2
For hotels in the lanes behind the beach road, the driver stops at the nearest corner the car can turn in and walks the bags the rest, rarely more than a minute.
- 3
Beach pickups work from the square where the main road reaches the beach, by the bus stop, or from any point on the beach road you name, with 15 minutes of free waiting.
Arriving in the airport
For a ride to the airport the driver drops you at the departures entrance. Allow about 10 minutes for the drive from Fira and 20 from Oia, plus the airline's check-in time; in July and August add 10 minutes for traffic on the caldera road.

Good to know
- This is one of the longer airport transfers on the island, so build the drive time into the flight plan rather than assuming a short hop.
- The last buses out of the resort finish long before the earliest flights leave, so a private car is the only way to make a dawn departure.
- Perivolos hotels book under the same page as Perissa. Give the hotel name and the driver knows which end of the beach to collect from.
- Give the flight number when you book, even for an early departure, so the pickup time can be checked against the airline's schedule.
Questions about this route
How early should I leave Perissa for a morning flight?
Work back from check-in and add 20 minutes for the 14 km drive, most of it inland over the hill. For an early flight this often means a pickup before sunrise.
Is there transport back to the airport once the buses stop?
Not a public one. Buses from this end of the island stop running well before the evening's last flights, so a booked car is the reliable option for a late departure.
Do you collect from Perivolos as well as Perissa?
Yes, at the same price. The two share a beach and a zone, so tell us which hotel you are in and the driver goes to the right end of the beach.
Does the fare change for a very early or very late pickup?
No. The price is fixed for the whole car at any hour, so a pre-dawn departure costs exactly what a midday one does.
