What these terms cover

These terms apply to every transfer and hourly booking made through santorinitaxi.com. By completing a booking and paying for it, you accept them. They sit alongside the privacy policy and the cookie policy, which cover how we handle your data.

Your booking is a contract

A booking is confirmed the moment you pay. Payment is taken in full at the time of booking, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. There is no deposit option and no pay-the-driver option online. Confirmation is instant: we do not hold a request and confirm it later, and we do not overbook a car.

Rides that start or end at Fira old port (the cable-car top station) are the one exception. No car reaches the quay, so the cable car and the walk to the car need a word first: you send a request with the same details, nothing is charged online, we confirm the ride by email or WhatsApp, and you pay the driver the fixed price on the day. Until we confirm it, there is no booking, and a request we cannot confirm is answered with an alternative or a plain no.

Prices

The price shown at booking is fixed for the car class and the route, includes VAT, and is the same whether the pickup is during the day or at night. It is the full price for the car, not a price per person, and it includes passenger insurance, parking fees at the airport and the port, luggage and the free waiting time set out below. A return trip is booked as a second leg of the same booking and priced the same way. If your pickup or drop-off falls outside a priced zone, we confirm the price with you directly before taking payment.

Changing your booking

Use the link in your confirmation email to open your booking. You can move the pickup date and time yourself as long as the route and the car stay the same, so the price does not change. If a change would alter the price, for example a different route or a larger car, the link cannot make it: cancel the existing booking under the rule below and make a new one, or contact us and we arrange it by hand.

Cancellation

You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the pickup time, through the manage-booking link. The full amount is refunded to the card or digital wallet you paid with. Cancelling inside 24 hours of pickup does not qualify for a refund, because the car and the driver are already reserved for you.

No-show

Waiting time is included free of charge: 60 minutes at the airport counted from the actual landing, 30 minutes at Athinios port from docking, and 15 minutes at a hotel or an address. If you have not appeared by the end of that time, and we have tried to reach you twice on the number given at booking, the booking is treated as a no-show. A no-show is charged in full and is not refunded.

If we cannot provide the car

On rare occasions beyond our control, such as severe weather, a strike or a road closed to traffic, we may need to cancel a confirmed booking. If that happens we tell you as soon as we know, refund the booking in full and try to arrange another car or another time that suits you.

Receipts

Every paid booking gets a receipt by email, showing the amount charged and the VAT included in it. If your booking needs specific company details on the receipt, tell us when you book and we add what we can.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute that cannot be settled directly is subject to the jurisdiction of the Greek courts competent for the operator's registered seat on Santorini. If you book as a consumer, this does not take away any right you have under the mandatory law of the country where you live, including the right to bring a case before the courts there.
