Between June and September the road fills from mid-afternoon, and the last kilometres into the village can take noticeably longer than the same drive at midday. Travelling before the crowd, in the late morning or early afternoon, avoids all of that; travelling for sunset itself means building the slower road into the plan rather than fighting it.
