Cars stop at a car park at the end of the tarmac, and the last few minutes are on foot over loose rock, downhill on the way in and steeper coming back.
Red Beach sits in Akrotiri's price zone, so a fare here matches a fare to the village and the archaeological site next to it. The airport is 14 km away, about 20 minutes; Fira is 15 km, about 20 minutes. Most visitors combine the beach with the site in one trip, best booked as a wait-and-return or an hourly driver rather than two separate transfers.
